The Blessing of the Oblations
After the procession around the altar, the Priest stands West of the altar holding the Lamb in his left hand and the cross in his right hand, holding the Lamb closely to the wine and water.
He then crosses himself.

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; One God.
And crosses over the oblations three times, consecrating them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Blessed be God the Father, the Pantocrator.

Blessed be His Only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Blessed be the Holy Spirit, the Comforter.

One is the Holy Father.

For His mercy is confirmed upon us,

The Priest places the Lamb on the paten, upon a cloth.

Mixing the Wine
Congregation
Glory to the Father,
The Son and the Holy Spirit;
Both now and always,
And unto the ages of ages.

The Priest pours the wine into the chalice and mixes it with water (from a third to a tenth its volume). The wine is mixed with water as the mixture of the blood and water that poured from Jesus' side when He was pierced on the cross.
